PROFILE

D'OPHIR was founded by Nigerian sisters Oluwatosin and Titilope Owoeye as a luxury fashion brand redefining modern womenswear through timeless design, refined craftsmanship, and effortless sophistication. Built on a shared passion for fashion and creativity, the brand is rooted in a lifelong devotion to making and artistry; one shaped by their earliest lessons at home.

D'OPHIR was born from a principle instilled in them early in life: if something is worth doing, it is worth doing well. Their mother, a multi-disciplinary craftswoman and accomplished textile weaver, was their first introduction to the art of making things. Oluwatosin and Titilope learned by her side, adopting her skills from a young age. By ages 11 and 12, they were already spinning yarn, weaving aso-oke textiles from scratch, and assisting in her salon. Through her, they inherited technical skill and a deep respect for excellence and the honor of craftsmanship.

Their love for making things naturally evolved into a passion for fashion. In 2009, fresh students in university, they encountered high fashion on film for the first time and made a defining decision: to graduate, study fashion design, and one day build their own label. That vision became the foundation of their journey.

In 2016, they founded Ophir Textiles, beginning nearly a decade of creating fabrics for global fashion brands. Their textiles have gone on to dress Miss Universe 2020, appear on stages such as the Tony Awards and the CMAs, and feature in publications including Vogue and CNN. Their work has been worn on red carpets and screens around the world, establishing them as trusted names in luxury textile innovation.

With years of experience, deep technical knowledge, and a refined understanding of the fashion industry, they launched D'OPHIR (formerly Unlabeled By Ophir) in 2022. Initially operating as a private label creating couture pieces for other brands, demand soon grew for clients to experience their work directly. This marked a turning point and the moment to step forward under their own name.

Since its launch, D'OPHIR has gained recognition within Nigeria's fashion industry for its elevated aesthetic and commitment to quality, fulfilling a promise to create a label for women who value craftsmanship, artistry, and intention.
