Known worldwide as "The Hair Whisperer," Felicia Leatherwood is the leading authority on natural and textured hair — a celebrity stylist, educator, and founder with over 30 years of experience. A Los Angeles native, she knew she had a flair for hair at just nine years old, was earning a substantial salary as a stylist by high school, and went on to train at Santa Monica Cosmetology School before building her reputation at the prestigious Millennium Hair Salon in Los Angeles.

Her client list reads like a roll call of Black Hollywood — Issa Rae, Viola Davis, Jill Scott, Lenny Kravitz, Ava DuVernay, Will Smith, and Anthony Anderson among them. As lead stylist on HBO's Emmy-winning Insecure, she created over 300 hairstyles across seven seasons — culture-defining looks that sparked global conversations about identity, versatility, and the politics of natural hair. Beyond the chair, she founded Texture Management, an elite on-set collective providing hair and makeup services tailored to performers of colour, and Brush With The Best — home of her award-winning Detangler Brush, designed to move through textured hair without pulling or breakage.
