Born and raised in New York City, Yolanda Blaize has spent more than two decades shaping the collections of one of fashion's most iconic luxury brands. As Senior Vice President of Women's and Children's Product Development at Ralph Lauren, she oversees the concept, development, and production of the brand's womenswear and childrenswear, playing a pivotal role in transforming creative ideas into beautifully crafted collections.
Yolanda's journey into fashion was anything but traditional. A graduate in Speech Communications, she began her career producing World Series highlight videos for Major League Baseball's This Week in Baseball. A temporary assignment at Ralph Lauren introduced her to the fashion industry, and within just ten months, her dedication, keen eye for detail, and problem-solving abilities saw her rise from production assistant to senior director; a trajectory that would lead to a remarkable career spanning more than 23 years.
Her work takes her around the world in search of exceptional fabrics and craftsmanship, from Hong Kong and Japan to India, Turkey, Peru, and Bolivia. Each season begins with a creative vision inspired by vintage garments, and it is Yolanda's expertise that helps source the textiles capable of bringing those ideas to life. Working behind the scenes, she has become one of the key figures ensuring that every Ralph Lauren collection reflects the quality, authenticity, and timeless elegance for which the brand is renowned.
For Yolanda Blaize, fashion is as much about precision as it is about creativity. Her career stands as a testament to the power of curiosity, hard work, and craftsmanship, proving that some of the industry's greatest contributions are made far beyond the runway.
